On another note, the book is unique because I have decided to write some of them using my native tongue-Cajun French. This book is unique because you can see how the words came to me and how I chose my words carefully to put them on paper. They are a mixture of bright and dark poems in no specific order. Zahira is 40 years old, Moroccan, a prostitute, traumatized by her fathers suicide decades prior, and in love with a man who no longer loves her.
